Large Luna Moth Plate

This is a one of a kind hand thrown, hand carved and painted ceramic plate. A white slip is painted on the clay body then carved away leaving the flower designs which are painted with underglazes after the bisque firing. The dark background is the clay body revealed through my translucent amber glaze. The result is strikingly beautiful as it brings the colorful designs to the forefront. All pieces are microwave, food, and dishwasher safe. The plate is approximately 12 inches in diameter. Hanger attached.
